‘Outside Introspections’ is the album debut by Federica Lorusso. A title that refers to the emotional process of moving abroad. Federica left Italy for the Netherlands to follow her jazz heart.

"Now I have found my place and I feel like I belong here, but in the songs there is still a sort of nostalgia towards my home country, and that’s also why it is very introspective music.
I think that this is also reflected in the recording process of the album itself, that has been entirely recorded in the Netherlands with other Italian musicians, even though this wasn’t really a conscious decision. I already knew some of them, but everything came naturally..
I think of ‘Outside Introspections’ as a sort of bridge between my home country and the country that I now call home".

Federica Lorusso (born in Puglia, Italy) is a jazz pianist, singer, and composer. Seven years ago, she moved to the Netherlands to study at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague.
